Poppys concerts & bus for children with disabilities

In July 2006, Luc Le Bon organized a series of concerts in Mauritius by the renowned French choir Les Poppys, under the patronage of the Ministry of Social Security and in collaboration with the Alliance Française and the Centre Culturel Charles Baudelaire. The purpose of this initiative and the concerts was to raise funds for a specially adapted 15-seat minibus to support children with disabilities.

Major first initiative

Free access to Smartick for Mauritian primary pupils

In line with Luc Le Bon’s lifelong devotion to numeracy and literacy, our first major initiative focuses on mathematics learning for primary school students in Mauritius.

Partnership with

The Luc Le Bon Seeds of Tomorrow Charity is grateful to partner with Smartick, a world-renowned online mathematics learning platform for children aged 4 to 14. Smartick uses gamification and artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver adaptive, personalized instruction that progresses at each learner’s pace.

Designed to complement and support primary school curricula, Smartick is used in more than 100 countries, with a strong presence in Europe and in the Americas. Founded in 2009, Smartick has spent over 15 years continuously developing and enriching one of the most mature AI-powered learning platforms in the world.

Today, students complete more than two million exercises every day, and over 500,000 families have relied on Smartick to build their children’s core mathematical skills and prepare them for the future. Results are strong: 94% of Smartick students improve their calculation skills with just 15 minutes a day, and 84% see improvements in their school mathematics grades.

Our ambition is bold and simple: to provide free access to Smartick for all Mauritian primary school students — a world first. Together with Smartick, we aim to democratize access to high-quality foundational mathematics education and equip children with skills that will serve them for life.
